The Queen of Denmark has honoured Ravi Dolsingh, the son of former deputy director of public prosecutions Ranjee Dolsingh, with a knighthood.
Queen Margrethe II bestowed the Knight’s Cross of the Order of Dannebrog on Dolsingh on January 1 in recognition of his service as the Danish Consul General (Hon) to Trinidad and Tobago, reports by Danish press say.
Dolsingh is an attorney-at-law at RR Dolsingh & Co who currently serves as a director to both the Association of Real Estate Agents (AREA) and Alcazar Realtors.
He is the son of Trinidad attorney, the late Rangee Dolsingh, SC, and Malawian businesswoman Sarah Dolsingh.
During Dolsingh’s tenure as Consul General (Hon), Denmark has been involved in a number of projects including being a lead financial contributor to the United Nations’ helping underprivileged youth in Morvant, as well as the digitisation of the Central Statistical Office of Trinidad and Tobago.
Dolsingh worked for many years in the financial district in London before returning to Trinidad with his wife Jennifer Alcazar Dolsingh.
