Parts of El Dorado, Tacarigua and environs served by the Caura Water Treatment Plant will have a disruption in their pipe-borne water supply this week, as planned maintenance work is scheduled to be carried out at the facility.
In an advisory, the Water and Sewerage Authority explains that the disruption will be between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm on Tuesday 26th January 2021.
WASA advises that a limited truck-borne water service will be available, with priority given to special homes, health care and government institutions.
In addition, customers are reminded that following the resumption of operations of the plant, it may take up to 24 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water supply to normalise to some affected areas.
Areas affected include:
● Northern side of Eastern Main Road, from Richard Street, Tacarigua to Dixon Street, Tunapuna (inclusive of side streets)
● Crown Street
● Paradise Gardens
● Vista Heights
● El Dorado Gardens
● Goya Street
● Caura Royal Road
● Madoo Hill
● College Road
● El Dorado Road
