"As we speak, Calder Hart is making moves to leave. That man is under serious pressure and he is packing up and getting ready to leave the country. He's getting closer to the end of his ordeal. His job is coming to an end with all the controversy surrounding him. But he is going to take a break and come back again when everything cools down." Those were the words of psychic Winston Ragoo on Friday around 1.30 pm as he spoke about the implications for Urban Development Company Ltd (Udecott) chairman Calder Hart during an interview with the Sunday Guardian. Ragoo, known for his precise visions, was on the ball as just one day later rumours and a subsequent letter from Udecott stated Hart had resigned as its chairman, and also as chairman of the other state boards which he headed.
One month after he told comedienne Mairoon Ali that she was going to die, shockwaves went through T&T with her sudden death. Ragoo had felt the negative energy during an interview with Ali on her morning talk show in November, warning her to urgently visit a doctor or she will be dead before the end of 2009. Without a doubt, the words of the 40 year-old psychic came to pass on that fateful day on December 21. "That conversation is still on tape because I gave her the warning during an interview on her talk show. I told her she was sick with internal problems and she needed to go by a doctor or she will pay with her life.
Described as "spiritually gifted" by those whose lives he has touched, Ragoo has been bombarded with people from all over the world since coming on the scene last October. His Facebook page is filled with testimonials from fans as far as Poland, Toronto, New Orleans, and the entire Caribbean all giving authenticity to his gift. Calls to his three cellular phones are non-stop by people as old as 85, prominent members of society such as attorneys and doctors, all wanting an opportunity to meet and communicate with him. "My vision is a spiritual message I get from God. I enjoy helping people put their lives on the right track. What I do is take the negative and make it positive.
"Sometimes people just want a chance to change their lives and I help them do this physically and mentally. Sometimes people are so touched with what I do that many of them leave in tears, but I just want to assist people." While there is a consultation fee attached, Ragoo, who owns his own business has been forced to return money to several oversees callers. "Money is not everything. I help people because I consider myself to be gifted. Callers from oversees send money via Western Union for me but I often return it many times. I am happy by just helping people. I am dead on with what I do and say to people. I can also discover the past life of your mother, father, sister and brother which can be used to guide you. I love to help people through God," he said.
PM is a good man
While Prime Minister Patrick Manning has found himself in the centre of controversy surrounding the construction of The Light of the Lighthouse of the Lord Jesus Christ Church, Ragoo is standing in defence of him. Commending the Prime Minister for being deeply spiritually rooted, Ragoo said he wishes to meet face to face with the leader of T&T. "I would shake his hand if I get the opportunity to meet him. What he is doing for this country is positive and he is changing the lives of people. It does not matter who builds a church; a church is good. The people in the Heights of Guanapo and others are going to benefit. The prime minister is on the right track; if he had built a new prison in the country people would have been upset too."
He advised politicians to stop beating down Manning and refrain from dwelling on too much negative. "This entire church issue is a blatant attack on the Prime Minister. People need to back off... People in this country should be happy if more churches are constructed because it empowers lives spiritually."
