Health Minister Terrance Deyalsingh has announced new COVID-19 public health restrictions.
Speaking at the Ministry of Health press conference, Deyalsingh said he and other government officials met virtually with Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley. He said he had been authorised to put new restrictions in place by the Prime Minister.
The measures that will go into effect at midnight on Wednesday and end on May 16 are:
° No public gatherings for entertainment and concerts
° The public service will revert to 50 per cent capacity on a rotational basis
° Places of worship will be reduced from 50 per cent capacity to 25 per cent capacity. Services will remain at 90 minutes
° Weddings and funerals will be limited to ten persons.
