A 40-year-old security officer was denied bail after appearing virtually before Magistrate Maureen Gafoor at the Port-of-Spain Magistrates’ Court, charged with allegedly sexually penetrating his two daughters. He was charged with 18 counts of sexual penetration - nine counts for each child.
According to police, a report was made by the victims’ cousin on May 19 to the North Eastern Division, Child Protection Unit. The man is accused of engaging in these sexual acts during the period 2017 to 2021.
An investigation was conducted by Cpl (Ag) Farrell, who arrested the accused father on May 25 and charged him the following day.
The investigation was supervised by W/Supt (Ag), Claire GuyAlleyne, and Sgts Bishop and Andrews.
