A roving operation by officers of the North-Eastern Division Task Force (NDTF) yesterday resulted in the recovery of a stolen vehicle and the arrest of a man for possession of marijuana.
According to police reports, in the first incident, acting on information received, NDTF officers proceeded to Seals Avenue, Morvant, where they discovered a white Nissan Wingroad motor vehicle parked at the side of the roadway. Further checks revealed that the vehicle’s back glass was broken. Officers made enquiries during which they learnt that the vehicle was stolen from the St. Joseph district. It was taken for forensic processing before it is returned to its owner.
In the second incident, the same officers proceeded to the Lutchman Gardens, Cunupia area, where they arrested a man who allegedly had in his possession one block of marijuana. The suspect, Kerdall Mohammed, was charged yesterday, November 24th with possession of marijuana and will appear virtually before a Chaguanas Magistrate today to answer to the charge. The roving exercise was coordinated by Sgt. Bharath and Cpl Majeed and included PCs Dass, Mieres, Andrews, Nanan, Eastman, and Robinson.
