The Port-of-Spain City Police launched it’s Christmas anti-crime plan yesterday.
Under the supervision of Superintendent Charles and in collaboration with the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service, the Municipal Police conducted their Day of Policing.

“What we will be seeing today is officers strategically placed at all locations throughout the city. Thus far we have issued 10 fixed penalty notices, three face mask notices. One person was arrested for driving a vehicle who was never issued a valid driver’s permit and also without insurance,” said Corporal Maharaj of the Municipal Police.

“We have officers strategically placed at each location. We are doing stop and search exercises checking vehicles, checking persons if they have outstanding warrants and so on,” he said.

The anti-crime plan comes as the bustling Christmas shopping season begins in the capital city.
