The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Social Workers (TTASW) has launched a hotline service for citizens needing psycho-social support during the current COVID-19 outbreak in this country.
In an official statement, TTASW says the hotline went into effect today, Thursday 2 April 2020. It says the hotline will begin taking calls from 8:00 am and will be operational for twelve hours, daily.

TTASW HOTLINE SERVICE LAUNCHED
The Trinidad and Tobago Association of Social Workers (TTASW) is a registered nongovernmental organisation responsible for professional Social Work in Trinidad and Tobago.
Our organisation which has been in existence for over three (3) decades, has as its motto, “Empowering social workers to make a difference”. TTASW's aim is to uphold the values and standards of our profession and to advocate for positive change for citizens and our members. Our role is to monitor social conditions and to take action that would improve the lives of citizens and our professional members.
The TTASW, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic has launched a FREE hotline service at 465-7932, which will be in operation from April 2nd, 2020. This hotline is geared towards providing psycho-social support for persons during this crisis.
The hotline would be managed and manned by qualified social workers and will be operational from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., daily. The hotline will offer interested persons free services such as telephone counselling, coping strategies on how to manage stress and anxiety during this crisis and assistance with the completion of online forms/applications for government grants.
