One man was ar­rest­ed and a firearm and a num­ber of mar­i­jua­na plants were seized by of­fi­cers dur­ing an­ti-crime ex­er­cis­es con­duct­ed in the South West­ern Di­vi­sion on Sat­ur­day.

An ‘Op­er­a­tion Push Back’ ex­er­cise was con­duct­ed in the Pe­nal, Siparia, Fyz­abad and Oropouche dis­tricts be­tween 6 pm on Fri­day and 6 am on Sat­ur­day 13th Ju­ly 2024 and in­clud­ed of­fi­cers of the Siparia Crim­i­nal In­ves­ti­ga­tions De­part­ment, Pe­nal CID, Gang Unit, SWD Task Force and the Ca­nine Branch.

Dur­ing the ex­er­cise, a 26-year-old man was ar­rest­ed for pos­ses­sion of one Glock pis­tol and 73 mar­i­jua­na plants val­ued at $200,000.

A 19-year-old Fyz­abad man was al­so held in con­nec­tion with a re­port of rob­bery.
