One man was arrested and a firearm and a number of marijuana plants were seized by officers during anti-crime exercises conducted in the South Western Division on Saturday.
An ‘Operation Push Back’ exercise was conducted in the Penal, Siparia, Fyzabad and Oropouche districts between 6 pm on Friday and 6 am on Saturday 13th July 2024 and included officers of the Siparia Criminal Investigations Department, Penal CID, Gang Unit, SWD Task Force and the Canine Branch.
During the exercise, a 26-year-old man was arrested for possession of one Glock pistol and 73 marijuana plants valued at $200,000.
A 19-year-old Fyzabad man was also held in connection with a report of robbery.
