A teenager from Central Trinidad is feared to have drowned in the waters of Maracas Bay on Sunday.
Coast Guard officers currently are looking for a body.
According to a police report, at about 5:45 pm on Sunday, the possible victim, 19-year-old Amarly Lawrence, of #119 Mungal Trace, Orangefield Road, Carapichaima, was having a bathe together with his cousin Tyreese Lawrence of the same address, when they both got into trouble.
Two bystanders saw them get into difficulties and swam out to save them, but managed only to save Tyreese.
Amarly could not be found.
Members of the Coast Guard were contacted.
The search for Amarly continues.
