“A reflection of home and school working together, and the school working together with the division and the community to mould these young people and to guide them.”
This is the key to academic success according to School Supervisor III, Sherry-Ann Rollocks Hackett.
She comments during an award ceremony for ten of Tobago’s secondary school students who excelled in this year’s CSEC and CAPE examinations.
The ceremony was held at the Magdalene Grand Hotel and Golf Resort on Thursday, December 13.
According to Hackett several policies and programmes implemented by the division also assisted the teachers and principals to develop “instructional teaching” methods which benefited the students.
Administrator in the Division Sherryl-Ann Solomon urged the students to keep pushing for success.
“The sleepless nights paid off, the task of listening to teachers when you preferred to listen to iTunes paid off, the sacrifice of not attending current events paid off and the dedication to your progress paid off.”
She said the journey does not end at CAPE and CSEC but it intensifies.
The school supervisor said the students should now be prepared for the road of victory.
