Officers attached to the Northern Division arrested two men and recovered a stolen vehicle in Maloney yesterday. According to police reports the stolen vehicle intercepted during an anti-crime exercise.
The exercise, spearheaded by Snr. Supt. Pamponette and Supt. Edwards, was coordinated by ASP Ettienne and Insp. Pitt, and took place between 10 am and 5 pm.
During the exercise, officers conducting investigations into a report of a stolen silver Toyota Fielder motor vehicle, intercepted the vehicle, which was bearing false registration plates, with two male occupants.
The two suspects, a 29-year-old and a 27-year-old, both of Maloney Gardens, were arrested in connection with the theft. Investigations are ongoing. The exercise also included officers of the Special Operations Response Team and the Special Investigations Unit.
