The Water and Sewerage Authority says it expects to complete Emergency repair works on a leaking 16” diameter transmission pipeline at LP22, Railway Road, San Pedro, by Saturday, November 26.
In an advisory, the Authority explains the leaking pipeline is the reason why parts of South-East Trinidad are experiencing low water pressures, or in some cases, no water.
WASA hopes to complete the repairs by 8:00 pm on Saturday. It is reminding customers that it may take up to 48 hours for the supply to be restored to some affected areas following the completion of repairs.
Affected areas include:
Rio Claro Tabaquite Road (Rio Claro to Killdeer inclusive of side streets) Charuma Short-Cut Trace, Cunapo Southern Main Road (Rio Claro to Biche), Navet Village, Cushe Village, Charuma Village, Biche, Plum Mitan Road (Biche to Hart Road inclusive of side streets), Rio Claro, Mora Heights, El Guanapo Development, Clearwater, Agostini, Naparima Mayaro Road (Libertville to Mayaro inclusive of side streets), Ecclesville, Boos Settlement, Bangladesh, Legendre Road, Bristol, Mafeking, Cedar Grove, Mayaro, St. Anns, Plaisance, Manzanilla Mayaro Road (Mayaro to Peter Hill Trace inclusive of side streets), Peter Hill Road and Kernaham.
