The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) says customers in parts of South East Trinidad served by the Navet Water Treatment Plant will experience an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Thursday 29th October 2020, between the hours of 12:00 noon and 8:00 p.m.
In a press release issued this afternoon, WASA stated that this is due to planned works by the Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) at the Tabaquite Sub-Station, which will impact operations at the Navet Water Treatment Plant.
Areas to be affected include: Libertville, Robert Village, George Village, Tableland, Rio Claro, Agostini, Rio Claro Tabaquite Road, Cunapo Southern Main Road, Biche, Plum Mitan, Charuma, New Grant, Craignish Village, Matilda, St. Julien, Indian Walk, Hindustan, St. Mary’s Village, Cunjal, Cumuto, Whiteland, Poonah, Piparo, Morne Roche, Princes Town, Manahambre, Iere Village, Sisters Road, Hardbargain, Buen Intento, Malgretoute, Williamsville, Barrackpore, Bronte, Borde Narve and Penal Rock Road.
Customers are advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the service to normalize to some affected areas in accordance with pipe-borne water supply schedules
The Authority apologised for the inconvenience and thanked customers for their patience and understanding.
