Just before she died of injuries suffered in a car accident on Monday Resa Ramoutar, 19, told her boyfriend she loved him three times just before she died.
Since then, relatives said, Ramoutar's boyfriend Alex Mohammed has remained deep in shock and distraught. The accident occurred at about 4:30 pm on Monda when the vehicle driven by Mohammed, PAX 2576, a grey Toyota Corolla spun out of control on the northbound lane of the Uriah Butler Highway just after the Endeavour Flyover in Chaguanas. The vehicle skidded off the roadway crashed into a tree.
Ramoutar, of Esmerelda Road, Cunupia, the front-seat passenger, was taken to the Chaguanas Health Facility, where she died. e was taken to the Chaguanas Police Station to make a formal report. Mohammed, expressed his grief in a series of social media postings: "I miss you babe I need you so much. Why you leave me? RIP my baby girl I'll never forget your beautiful smile my love."
Ramoutar was described by friends and family as a "beautiful soul" who was always kind, cheerful and loving. In her last post on Facebook on Sunday night at 9.21 pm, she wrote: "Be proud of who you are and not ashamed of how someone else sees you."
