YTEPP Lim­it­ed be­gan ex­plor­ing dis­cus­sions to­wards a for­mal part­ner­ship with the Trinidad Youth Coun­cil (TYC) to em­pow­er and de­vel­op the skills of young peo­ple to sup­port na­tion­al de­vel­op­ment.

Mont­gomery Guy, YTEPP Lim­it­ed’s di­rec­tor of En­tre­pre­neur­ial De­vel­op­ment and Sup­port Ser­vices (EDSS), said on Mon­day that YTEPP and TYC met at YTEPP’s Head Of­fice and Wood­ford Lodge Cam­pus in Ch­agua­nas in com­mem­o­ra­tion of In­ter­na­tion­al Youth Day.

He said, “In line with this year’s theme, From Clicks to Progress: Youth Dig­i­tal Path­ways for Sus­tain­able De­vel­op­ment, key points dis­cussed were en­abling and em­pow­er­ing youth through skill, dig­i­tal, and vo­ca­tion­al train­ing; fos­ter­ing healthy in­ter­per­son­al re­la­tion­ships with peers; and build­ing stronger com­mu­ni­ties.”

Guy said YTEPP has been in sup­port of TYC’s agen­da and looks for­ward to this col­lab­o­ra­tion that fur­ther en­hances youth em­pow­er­ment. The TYC is an or­gan­i­sa­tion with over 50 youth or­gan­i­sa­tions un­der its um­brel­la. Shane John, the pres­i­dent of TYC, ex­pressed the im­por­tance of ex­pos­ing youths to dif­fer­ent en­vi­ron­ments as he wel­comed and en­cour­aged dis­cus­sions to­wards youth de­vel­op­ment with YTEPP.
