For five years, Dr Keith Rowley, you were in charge of governing T&T.
For five years, Dr Keith Rowley, thousands of people suffered from a lack of water in their pipes.
For four and three quarter years, Dr Keith Rowley, you never said a word about UNC operatives sabotaging the water supply to certain areas. How come, as your fifth year draws to a close, you are suddenly seeing UNC saboteurs in WASA?
It is interesting that you mentioned Tunapuna, St Joseph and Barataria/San Juan.
What about Barrackpore, Rampanalgas, Tabaquite and other remote areas that struggle to get a decent supply of water on a daily basis? Are they not important as well?
Can we say that PNM saboteurs, in WASA have been working on your behalf, in those areas for the past five years?
For five years, Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar, you led the Opposition in Parliament.
For five years, Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar, you have plotted to get back into governance. However, your recent play on the words “blank” and “black” have not endeared you, to those who stand along the middle line. In doing so, however, you have masterfully changed the election narrative to one of absolute dotishness. When things do not seem to be going your way, subtly throw in the race card and watch everyone run wild.
Dr Keith Rowley of the PNM and Mrs Kamla Persad-Bissessar of the UNC are both guilty of this.
It is very hard not to be cynical, in this election season.
Will we ever get leaders who are prepared to debate issues, prior to an election?
This has never happened in our country.
On a more positive note, it was inspiring to see the exemplary behaviour of all the candidates and their supporters on Nomination day.
Once we, the people, remember who we are, no politician can divide us.
