Unbeaten Diego Martin Central Secondary School and Holy Name Convent celebrated victories in their respective matches in the T&T Secondary Schools Netball Association’s (TTSSNA) Port-of-Spain and Environs Educational District (POSEED) League on Thursday.
Both teams are on six points from three consecutive wins in the Under-20 Division, but Diego Martin Central is in the top spot via score difference, 129 compared to Holy Name’s 73.
In the last round of matches, both teams scored huge victories.
In the first match of a double-header at St Paul Street Sports Facility, Diego Martin Central defeated Blanchisseuse Secondary, 47-7. Later, Diego Martin Central Secondary outplayed Providence Girls’ Catholic School, 37-4.
Holy Name got its with at the Diego Martin Central Secondary School over East Mucurapo, 44-5 in the opener. In the second match, St. Francois Girls College also sealed an easy win, topping Tranquillity 42-3.
The teams will be back in action on Thursday with double-headers at both venues. The leading team, Diego Martin Central, will face off against Diego Martin North, who are third on the table with five points from two wins and a draw.
Holy Name will aim to stay perfect versus Providence, who is sixth with one win and two losses.
However, competition starts today in two divisions in the POSEED League: the 13 and Under and the Boys’ Open.
