Red Force mid­dle-or­der bats­man Jyd Goolie is one of three changes to the West In­dies team to face Aus­tralia in the first T20 In­ter­na­tion­al, which be­gins on Sun­day in Ja­maica.

Goolie was named in the T20I squad to face Ire­land in June, but visa is­sues pre­vent­ed him from mak­ing the trip across the At­lantic. His place, along with those of top-or­der bats­men Kea­cy Car­ty and John­son Charles, has gone to Ros­ton Chase, Jew­el An­drew, Je­di­ah Blades and An­dre Rus­sell for the Aus­tralia se­ries.

Chase, the West In­dies Test cap­tain, re­turns to the T20 team af­ter leav­ing the Unit­ed King­dom ahead of the T20 se­ries to pre­pare for the Tests against Aus­tralia. Rus­sell, who will re­tire af­ter the se­ries, was rest­ed for the Ire­land tour, while An­drew and Blades have re­ceived their maid­en T20 call-ups.
