Red Force middle-order batsman Jyd Goolie is one of three changes to the West Indies team to face Australia in the first T20 International, which begins on Sunday in Jamaica.
Goolie was named in the T20I squad to face Ireland in June, but visa issues prevented him from making the trip across the Atlantic. His place, along with those of top-order batsmen Keacy Carty and Johnson Charles, has gone to Roston Chase, Jewel Andrew, Jediah Blades and Andre Russell for the Australia series.
Chase, the West Indies Test captain, returns to the T20 team after leaving the United Kingdom ahead of the T20 series to prepare for the Tests against Australia. Russell, who will retire after the series, was rested for the Ireland tour, while Andrew and Blades have received their maiden T20 call-ups.
West Indies squad:
Shai Hope (captain), Jewel Andrew, Jediah Blades, Roston Chase, Matthew Forde, Shimron Hetmyer, Jason Holder, Akeal Hosein, Alzarri Joseph, Brandon King, Evin Lewis, Gudakesh Motie, Rovman Powell, Andre Russell, Sherfane Rutherford, and Romario Shepherd.
