ABU DHABI – West In­dies all-rounder Kyle May­ers made valu­able con­tri­bu­tions with both bat and ball to help Team Abu Dhabi trounce the Chen­nai Braves Jaguars by eight wick­ets in the Abu Dhabi T10 League in the Unit­ed Arab Emi­rates on Wednes­day.

The Bar­ba­di­an was the pick of the Abu Dhabi bowlers, tak­ing one wick­et for 10 runs from his soli­tary over as the Jaguars post­ed 103 for five from their 10 overs af­ter be­ing sent in to bat.

Jaguars’ cap­tain This­ara Per­era top­scored with 45 from 20 balls be­fore he was dis­missed by May­ers off the last ball of the in­nings.

May­ers then re­turned to score a breezy, un­beat­en 14 from sev­en balls, in­clud­ing three bound­aries, to help his side to 106 for two off 9.1 overs.

To­geth­er with cap­tain Phil Salt, who cracked an un­beat­en 43 from 20 balls, they added an un­bro­ken 27 runs for the third wick­et to car­ry Abu Dhabi to a com­fort­able vic­to­ry.
