T&T's referees Crystal Sobers and Cecile Hinds have made the FIFA International List of Referees for this year.
The assistant referees selected are Caleb Wales, Evelyn Carissa Douglas-Jacob and Ainsley Rochard. These individuals are eligible officiate in international matches and competitions in 2021.
According to FIFA, the proposed match officials, nominated by each member association had to be least 25 years old (23 years old in the case of assistant referees) on January 1 of the year for which they had been nominated.
Referees would have had to been born no later than December 31, 1995, and assistant referees no later than December 31, 1997 to ensure a minimum level of experience.
All nominations presented by the national federations were reviewed by the FIFA Referees Committee, chaired by 2002 FIFA World Cup Final referee Pierluigi Collina.
FIFA reserved the right to require match officials over the age of 45 (born in 1976 or before) to undergo additional technical assessments as well as specific medical examinations and fitness testing on a case-by-case basis.
Each candidate would have had to be ranked based on the marks obtained for officiating matches at national level during the 12 months prior to being nominated for the list of international match officials.
At a minimum, all nominated match officials (except video match officials) must have also passed a FIFA-approved fitness test and a medical examination on or after 2 June 2020.
All match official roles are now gender-neutral. Both men and women were nominated for each role since separate roles for women no longer exist.
