T&T's opponents for stage one of next year's Netball World Youth Cup (NWYC) were revealed during the draw conducted live in Gibraltar on Tuesday (November 19).
The junior "Calypso Girls" of the Americas have been drawn in Pool D along with Caribbean neighbour Barbados (Americas), Fiji (Oceania), South Africa (Africa) and Malawi (Africa) in NWYC2025. The draw represents a key milestone in the build-up to the tournament, taking place from the September 19-28, 2025 on the Rock.
The top four teams from the last NWYC in 2017 were automatically placed into pools based on their order of final position. New Zealand (Oceania), having placed first was subsequently seeded and placed Pool A ahead of the draw; Second place: Pool B - Australia (Asia), third place: Pool C England (Europe) and fourth place: Pool D - Fiji (Oceania).
In the opening stage of the competition, all the teams will play in a round-robin format in their respective pools before being regrouped for stage two based upon their finishing position in the initial games.
