T&T play­ers were as­sured of lift­ing the Un­der-12 Boys and Girls Sin­gles ti­tles af­ter se­cur­ing all the spots in the ti­tle match­es when the Con­fed­er­a­tion of Ten­nis of Cen­tral Amer­i­ca and the Caribbean (COTECC) Pow­er­ade Bar­ba­dos U-12 and U-14 Ten­nis Tour­na­ment con­tin­ued in St Michael, Bar­ba­dos on Tues­day.

As ex­pect­ed, the Girls U-12 Sin­gles will be an all-T&T af­fair af­ter the un­beat­en Cher­dine Sylvester swept past An­tigua & Bar­bu­da’s Nazeah Mur­ray 6-0, 6-0 while Cyra Ram­cha­ran scold­ed her sis­ter Suri Ram­cha­ran in an all-T&T clash 6-3, 6-2.

The Ram­cha­ran sis­ters are one win away from the dou­bles ti­tle as well af­ter eas­ing past Sylvester and Mur­ray, 6-1, 6-3, in their round-robin open­er, and will meet Bethan May (Guyana) and Ava Warn­er (Bar­ba­dos) next.

In the boys’ U-12 semi­fi­nals, Josi­ah Hill bat­tled past St Lu­cian Den­ney Es­ta­va 6-2, 6-7(7), 6-2 to se­cure his spot in the fi­nal against fel­low T&T play­er, Jack Brown who out­gunned coun­try­man and top-ranked Oliv­er Har­ra­gin 6-3, 6-7(4), 6-2 in the oth­er semi­fi­nal.

The girls’ U-14 Singes cham­pi­on will al­so come from T&T af­ter the top two seed­ed play­ers, Em-Miryam Camp­bell-Smith, and Gabriel­la Prince reg­is­tered quar­ter­fi­nal wins with­out drop­ping a sin­gle game to set up all-T&T semi­fi­nals against Shiloh Walk­er, and third-ranked Make­da Bain, re­spec­tive­ly.

Camp­bell-Smith brushed aside her younger sis­ter Ab­ba Camp­bell-Smith 6-0, 6-0 and meets Walk­er who dis­missed fourth-ranked St Lu­cian Ana­iah Bous­quet 6-1, 6-1 on Mon­day while Prince blanked coun­try­woman Elye Fer­gu­son 6-0, 6-0 to set up a du­el with Bain who had a round-of-16 bye and then de­feat­ed An­tigua & Bar­bu­da’s Jolie George-Alexan­der 7-5, 6-1 in their quar­ter­fi­nal clash on Mon­day. The tour­na­ment con­tin­ues to­day from 9 am.
