The icon­ic UWI Fete, host­ed by The UWI De­vel­op­ment and En­dow­ment Fund, is known for be­ing a Fete With a Cause.

The event was held last Sun­day un­der the ti­tle Fete Cham­pe­tre– The Gar­den Par­ty.

Or­gan­is­ers de­scribed it as the “in­com­pa­ra­ble gar­den event of the sea­son,” the first of its kind as they pre­pare for the re­turn of The UWI Fete 2023.

Many donned gar­den glam for the oc­ca­sion with fas­ci­na­tors, feath­ers, and flow­ers for the tress­es. Prof­its from the all-in­clu­sive event are ear­marked to pro­vide bur­saries to as­sist de­serv­ing stu­dents.

Pa­trons were treat­ed to per­for­mances by Mi­cal Te­ja, Ding Dong, Vaugh­nette Big­ford, D’ All Starz Band ft Col­lege Boy Jesse, UWI Arts Steel and Neval Chate­lal.
