The iconic UWI Fete, hosted by The UWI Development and Endowment Fund, is known for being a Fete With a Cause.
The event was held last Sunday under the title Fete Champetre– The Garden Party.
Organisers described it as the “incomparable garden event of the season,” the first of its kind as they prepare for the return of The UWI Fete 2023.
Many donned garden glam for the occasion with fascinators, feathers, and flowers for the tresses. Profits from the all-inclusive event are earmarked to provide bursaries to assist deserving students.
Patrons were treated to performances by Mical Teja, Ding Dong, Vaughnette Bigford, D’ All Starz Band ft College Boy Jesse, UWI Arts Steel and Neval Chatelal.
Guardian photographer Anisto Alves was there and captured these photos of patrons having a good time.
