Angelo’s Restaurant which served fine Italian dining for almost three decades is closing its doors.
The establishment, located at 38 Ariapita Avenue and Corneilo Street, Woodbrook, made the statement on social media without giving a specific reason for the decision.
However, the restaurant is assuring its customers that it’s not the end of its service.
“Over the last 27 years, Chef Angelo has been honoured to serve you the finest authentic Italian dishes.
“However, we are excited to announce that in the near future we will be reopened as a new business with fresh ideas and exciting products for you,” the statement said.
While a date for the reopening is yet to revealed, January 29 will be Angelo’s last day of operation.
The restaurant promises its loyal customers new offerings.
“There is no need to worry; some of your favourite items will still be available and much more,” the statement added.
Angelo’s also thanked its valued customers for their support over the years.
Several restaurants have been severely impacted with the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For instances when dining restrictions were implemented Chaud restaurant in Port-of-Spain, and J- ’s Restaurant in Couva closed for good.
Joseph’s Restaurant in Maraval also changed its business model last year.
The Lebanese establishment which opened its doors in September 2001 had said, “The time has come for the new generation to take the reins.
“As such our business model will be changing and the Joseph’s you know will be diversified.”
However, Government has since allowed restaurants and bars to resume full service and serve alcohol to fully vaccinated patrons.
