The TTPS is re­port­ing the suc­cess of a po­lice ex­er­cise in the St Joseph Po­lice Dis­trict on Sep­tem­ber 24, which was car­ried out in re­sponse to re­cent re­ports of stolen light mo­tor ve­hi­cles.

It was car­ried out from 10:30 am to 2:00 pm, un­der the su­per­vi­sion of ACP Singh, Snr. Supt Pierre, and Supt Gift; co­or­di­nat­ed by ASP Jag­ger­nath and ASP David; and with di­rect su­per­vi­sion from Sgt Pe­ters, Sgt Thomas, and Sgt (Ag) Joseph Perez. The team al­so in­clud­ed of­fi­cers from the St Joseph CID, North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force (NCDTF-W), and the Ma­jor Crime Unit (MCU).

A state­ment from the Po­lice Ser­vice says the team fo­cused their sur­veil­lance ef­forts in a bushy area on Agos­ti­ni Street. 

Of­fi­cers were able to re­cov­er two white Nis­san AD wag­ons. Both ve­hi­cles were found large­ly in­tact and have been trans­port­ed to the St Joseph Po­lice Sta­tion for fur­ther pro­cess­ing by Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors (CSIs).

“The St Joseph CID is cur­rent­ly con­tin­u­ing in­quiries in­to this mat­ter,” the TTPS re­lease said, adding, “the po­lice re­main com­mit­ted to tack­ling ve­hi­cle theft in the re­gion.”
