The T&T In­ter-Is­land Trans­porta­tion Co. (TTIT) is set to in­tro­duce a pre­mi­um class tick­et for ser­vices op­er­at­ed by the APT James and the Buc­coo Reef. The new ser­vice is avail­able from May 2nd.

Tick­et hold­ers get one-hour pri­or­i­ty check-in and board­ing, ac­cess to an ex­clu­sive seat­ing area and Pre­mi­um Class Lounges where food and drink are on sale. The com­pa­ny says on­ly new book­ings are el­i­gi­ble for Pre­mi­um Class, pas­sen­gers al­ready hold­ing tick­ets are un­able to up­grade at this time. up­grad­ed.

A one-way tick­et costs $100 for adults and se­niors, and $50 for chil­dren 12 years and un­der. In­fants two years and un­der are free. The cost to car­ry a ve­hi­cle re­mains the same.

This an­nounce­ment comes less than two weeks af­ter Chief Sec­re­tary Far­ley Au­gus­tine re­vealed that he had had dis­cus­sions with the Port Au­thor­i­ty of Trinidad & To­ba­go about in­tro­duc­ing a VIP ser­vice on the fer­ries op­er­at­ing be­tween Port of Spain and Scar­bor­ough. He al­so said that there were dis­cus­sions about in­tro­duc­ing re­gion­al fer­ry ser­vices in­clud­ing a pos­si­ble To­ba­go-Grena­da ser­vice.
