The T&T Inter-Island Transportation Co. (TTIT) is set to introduce a premium class ticket for services operated by the APT James and the Buccoo Reef. The new service is available from May 2nd.
Ticket holders get one-hour priority check-in and boarding, access to an exclusive seating area and Premium Class Lounges where food and drink are on sale. The company says only new bookings are eligible for Premium Class, passengers already holding tickets are unable to upgrade at this time. upgraded.
A one-way ticket costs $100 for adults and seniors, and $50 for children 12 years and under. Infants two years and under are free. The cost to carry a vehicle remains the same.
This announcement comes less than two weeks after Chief Secretary Farley Augustine revealed that he had had discussions with the Port Authority of Trinidad & Tobago about introducing a VIP service on the ferries operating between Port of Spain and Scarborough. He also said that there were discussions about introducing regional ferry services including a possible Tobago-Grenada service.
