Tobago’s Buccoo has been listed as one of 12 best fishing spots in the Caribbean by FishingBooker, the world’s largest website for booking fishing charters
The list was based on a number of factors, such as user reviews, quality of fishing, and overall experience.
FishingBooker said Buccoo sits in the Guiana current, which brings plenty of baitfish and their predators right up to the shore.
Blue Marlin is one of the most prestigious species targeted, and they’re torpedo-sized.
Anglers have reported catching Marlin as big as 1,200 pounds not too far from the coast.
Yellowfin Tuna is another sought-after trophy targeted.
At Buccoo Point there is an idyllic long stretch of white sandy beach and the jetty from where fishing boats operate.
