To­ba­go’s Buc­coo has been list­ed as one of 12 best fish­ing spots in the Caribbean by Fish­ing­Book­er, the world’s largest web­site for book­ing fish­ing char­ters

The list was based on a num­ber of fac­tors, such as user re­views, qual­i­ty of fish­ing, and over­all ex­pe­ri­ence.

Fish­ing­Book­er said Buc­coo sits in the Guiana cur­rent, which brings plen­ty of bait­fish and their preda­tors right up to the shore.

Blue Mar­lin is one of the most pres­ti­gious species tar­get­ed, and they’re tor­pe­do-sized.

An­glers have re­port­ed catch­ing Mar­lin as big as 1,200 pounds not too far from the coast.

Yel­lowfin Tu­na is an­oth­er sought-af­ter tro­phy tar­get­ed.

At Buc­coo Point there is an idyl­lic long stretch of white sandy beach and the jet­ty from where fish­ing boats op­er­ate.
