A Beetham man is in crit­i­cal con­di­tion af­ter he was shot while al­leged­ly try­ing to rob a Wood­brook busi­ness­man ear­li­er this morn­ing. 

Po­lice say the own­er of the Cookin Vibes restau­rant was at his Car­los Street busi­ness place around 12:10 am, when he was con­front­ed by three men who at­tacked him.

The busi­ness­man pulled out his li­censed pis­tol and shot one of his at­tack­ers in the left leg.

The oth­er two men ran away.

Wood­brook po­lice were called in and took the wound­ed man to the Port of Spain Gen­er­al Hos­pi­tal where he re­mained up to mid­day on Thurs­day.
