Car­lene Wells, well known fe­male front line vo­cal­ist of now de­funct Triveni Or­ches­tra and Dil E Nadan wants to raise $12,000 to off­set pro­duc­tion cost for her first gospel record­ing.

Wells, who has now gone in­to the gospel mu­sic are­na af­ter many years, is pro­duc­ing her break­out record­ing and is go­ing the self-help way to meet pro­duc­tion costs.

Wells kicked off the fundrais­er with Car­lene's Hot and Spicy Corn Soup on Sat­ur­day.

The soup fundrais­er event will take place at the cor­ner of Cadiz Road and Nor­folk Street in Bel­mont, Port-of-Spain, from 9 am every oth­er Sat­ur­day.
