Three sus­pects al­leged­ly in­volved in Wednes­day’s dou­ble homi­cide in Diego Mar­tin have been cap­tured, the Po­lice Ser­vice has con­firmed.

An of­fi­cial TTPS re­lease states that the sus­pects were ap­pre­hend­ed dur­ing a co­or­di­nat­ed op­er­a­tion be­tween 6:30 pm on Wednes­day (No­vem­ber 13) and 1:30 am on Thurs­day (No­vem­ber 14).

The state­ment not­ed that po­lice of­fi­cers re­ceived in­for­ma­tion that led them to Covi­gne Road, Diego Mar­tin, where they ap­pre­hend­ed a male sus­pect in con­nec­tion with a re­cent homi­cide at Quar­ry Street, Diego Mar­tin.

As the in­ves­ti­ga­tion un­fold­ed, of­fi­cers ob­tained ad­di­tion­al in­for­ma­tion that led to the re­cov­ery of an aban­doned sil­ver wag­on ve­hi­cle at Boil­er Trace, Cameron. The ve­hi­cle con­tained ev­i­dence crit­i­cal to the in­ves­ti­ga­tion.

Po­lice of­fi­cers then pro­ceed­ed to Up­per Rich­plain Road, Diego Mar­tin, where they ar­rest­ed two ad­di­tion­al sus­pects, one of whom was found in pos­ses­sion of a Sig Sauer pis­tol loaded with nine-mil­lime­tre am­mu­ni­tion.

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, around 6:30 pm on Wednes­day 13 No­vem­ber 2024, three in­di­vid­u­als were ‘lim­ing’ near a mi­ni mart lo­cat­ed on Hillar­ie Street, Diego Mar­tin, when a sil­ver Nis­san AD wag­on ap­proached. Three armed male as­sailants ex­it­ed the ve­hi­cle and opened fire on the group, then quick­ly fled west along Hillar­ie Street.

Three men nurs­ing gun­shot wounds were tak­en to the St James In­fir­mary to seek med­ical at­ten­tion.  How­ev­er, two of the men suc­cumbed to their in­juries.

The de­ceased men have been iden­ti­fied as Kalvin Levine, 27, of Green Hill Vil­lage, Diego Mar­tin; and An­fer­nee Rahim Eligon, 26, of Sa­van­nah Road #1, Diego Mar­tin.

The third shoot­ing vic­tim cur­rent­ly is in a sta­ble con­di­tion at hos­pi­tal.
