The Four Roads fire sta­tion has been tem­porar­i­ly closed for sani­ti­sa­tion af­ter an of­fi­cer test­ed pos­i­tive for COVID-19.

In a press re­lease is­sued this af­ter­noon, the Trinidad and To­ba­go Fire Ser­vice stat­ed as a pre­cau­tion­ary mea­sure all oth­er per­son­nel who came in­to con­tact with the said of­fi­cer have been ad­vised to self-quar­an­tine un­til they have been test­ed and cleared by the Min­istry of Health.

Ad­di­tion­al­ly, the Sta­tion has been san­i­tized and the process was re­peat­ed since then to en­sure that it is once more hab­it­able for per­son­nel to re­sume their dai­ly du­ties.

Fur­ther­more, tem­po­rary cov­er­age for the ar­eas ser­viced by the Four Roads Fire Sta­tion has been im­ple­ment­ed and all emer­gency calls can be di­rect­ed to ei­ther one of the fol­low­ing:

The Chief Fire Of­fi­cer as­sures the pub­lic that the Trinidad and To­ba­go Fire Ser­vice will con­tin­ue to com­ply with the guide­lines set out by the Min­istry of Health through­out all its Di­vi­sions dur­ing this pan­dem­ic and em­ploys cit­i­zens and em­ploy­ees to ex­er­cise san­i­ti­za­tion and so­cial dis­tanc­ing prac­tices.
