The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) has received ten warmbloods horses from Holland.
The horses arrived last Friday and were handed over to the Mounted Branch.
These horses, which have already been trained, are now in quarantine.
After their acclimatization and further training, the horses will be deployed for patrol, escort duties, and in the fight against crime.
Warmbloods are a group of middle-weight horse types, and breeds primarily originating in Europe, and registered with organizations that are characterized by open studbook policy, studbook selection, and the aim of breeding for equestrian sport.
