The trio of Hillview College (Boys), St Augustine Girls High School (Girls), and Northgate College (Co-Educational) were crowned champions of the Tidal Wave Aquatics Inter-Zone Schools Swimming Meet at the National Aquatic Centre in Balmain, Couva on Sunday.
In the boys' team competition which featured nine schools, Hillview amassed 238.5 points to capture the overall title, well ahead of Trinity College East (164), and Holy Cross College and Presentation College of Chaguanas, both of whom were joint third with 93 points each.
St Augustine Girls High had a much closer fight on their hands in the girls’ team competition as they tallied 148 points to beat Bishop Anstey High School East by just three points with St Joseph's Convent, St Joseph, third with 132 among the ten participating teams.
In the 13-team co-educational division, Northgate dominated with 137 points, to finish 100 points ahead of Miracle Ministries while St Joseph's College ended in third, a further point behind.
