The trio of Hillview Col­lege (Boys), St Au­gus­tine Girls High School (Girls), and North­gate Col­lege (Co-Ed­u­ca­tion­al) were crowned cham­pi­ons of the Tidal Wave Aquat­ics In­ter-Zone Schools Swim­ming Meet at the Na­tion­al Aquat­ic Cen­tre in Bal­main, Cou­va on Sun­day.

In the boys' team com­pe­ti­tion which fea­tured nine schools, Hillview amassed 238.5 points to cap­ture the over­all ti­tle, well ahead of Trin­i­ty Col­lege East (164), and Holy Cross Col­lege and Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege of Ch­agua­nas, both of whom were joint third with 93 points each.

St Au­gus­tine Girls High had a much clos­er fight on their hands in the girls’ team com­pe­ti­tion as they tal­lied 148 points to beat Bish­op Anstey High School East by just three points with St Joseph's Con­vent, St Joseph, third with 132 among the ten par­tic­i­pat­ing teams.

In the 13-team co-ed­u­ca­tion­al di­vi­sion, North­gate dom­i­nat­ed with 137 points, to fin­ish 100 points ahead of Mir­a­cle Min­istries while St Joseph's Col­lege end­ed in third, a fur­ther point be­hind.
