North Zone's Holy Name Convent of Port-of -Spain and Miracle Ministries of the Central Zone will be hoping to add their respective zonal Coca Cola Intercol titles to the league title, they won earlier in the season in the Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL).
For Holy Name, it will be the usual clash with arch-rival St Joseph's Convent at 3.30 pm at Fatima College Ground while Miracle Ministries will be up against Holy Faith Convent at 3.30 pm at Couva East Ground on Sunday.
Yesterday, however, Miracle Ministries coach Patrick Sambrano believes his team can be at a disadvantage due to them having to play multiple matches in a short space of time.
Only on Wednesday, his girls played against Chaguanas South Secondary which they won 14-0, then on Friday, they went down to Pleasantville Secondary in a Championship Big Five play-off 2-1 before facing today's encounter.
Sambrano said because of the short timeframe his team has had to play, his players are not getting enough time to recover, while at the same time, are picking up injuries.
"That's what the SSFL has done to us. We asked for it not to be like that, but we were told that the league has to finish. It's hard for the girls but there is nothing we can do about it," Sambrano said.
Meanwhile, Holy Name Convent is fresh from a 2-1 triumph over Tranquility Secondary at St Joseph's Convent ground on Thursday, a result that ensured they kept their unbeaten run for the season so far, intact.
St Joseph's Convent was runner-up in the north zone, having lost their two matches to Holy Name Convent. The Holy Name girls will be out to secure a second title this season before eyeing the National Intercol title and the Big Five crown.
