Young ladies between the ages of 16 to 25 with an interest in representing Trinidad and Tobago on the world stage of modelling, that is Miss World T&T, are being encouraged to present themselves for screening this Sunday.
Pageant coach Richard Young says the Miss World TT franchise is looking for untapped beauty as well as young women with a sense of purpose and drive to help others.
He adds that the process is simple and is assuring candidates that it’s not an inquisition but simply an opportunity to get to know the individuals and for them to learn more about what it takes to be a Miss World representative.
Ache Abrahams represented this country at the recent Miss World 2024 pageant in Mumbai, India, where she placed in the top four and won the title of Miss World Caribbean.
Young who spoke during an interview on CNC3’s Morning Brew program said it is an excellent opportunity for young women.
“We need the young ladies to be grounded because humility and gratitude is very important in the process of sharing of your beauty and the part of it where it can go to your head, you have to keep very centred and very balanced.”
Screening for Miss World TT takes place at the Hyatt Regency on Sunday.
Young says all are welcomed and candidates are encouraged to walk with portraits and body shots, however, he adds if a candidate does not have these she is still welcomed to screen.
