Salandy's death - wake up call

by

The death of Jizelle Salandy should be a wake-up call to all Trinidadians to slow down on the roads. Based on the news reports, the condition of the vehicle and the site of the accident, it appears that this tragic accident happened as a result of speeding. This is a small island so most Trinidadians travel no further than five to 10 miles on a normal day.

There is no reason to drive at excessive speeds to travel five miles. In fact, it is suicidal. If each person decreased their speed by only 10 miles an hour starting today, it would not only save their life but thousands of others. Please slow down on the roads.
