Less than two weeks be­fore the April 28 Gen­er­al Elec­tion, the in­cum­bent Peo­ple’s Na­tion­al Move­ment (PNM) has un­veiled its man­i­festo, promis­ing “a bold, new chap­ter” of na­tion­al trans­for­ma­tion if the par­ty is re-elect­ed in­to gov­ern­ment.

Tobago hoteliers raise alarm over island’s tourism

The To­ba­go Ho­tel and Tourism As­so­ci­a­tion (THAT) has writ­ten to Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young, Chief Sec­re­tary Far­ley Au­gus­tine, and oth­er gov­ern­ment of­fi­cials, rais­ing an alarm over four ur­gent is­sues af­fect­ing the is­land’s tourism and hos­pi­tal­i­ty sec­tor.

Differently Abled Movement calls for increase in disablilty grant

Mem­bers of the Dif­fer­ent­ly Abled Move­ment are re­quest­ing a meet­ing with Prime Min­is­ter Stu­art Young and Op­po­si­tion Leader Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar be­fore the April 28 Gen­er­al Elec­tion to dis­cuss the need for in­creas­ing the dis­abil­i­ty grant, which cur­rent­ly stands at $2,000.
