Adam Chung of Queen's Park Crick Club (QPCC) and Camron Adamson of Police both scored hat-tricks to lead their respective clubs to comfortable wins when the T&T Hockey Board Indoor Championships flicked off with men's Trinity Division matches at the Woodbrook Youth Facility, Port-of-Spain on Friday night.
Chung netted a second-half hat-trick in the 26th, 30th and 36th minutes after teammate Khalel had netted the go-ahead item in the 20th minute in QPCC's 4-0 defeat of Fatima.
And in the final match of the night, Adamson scored as early as the first minute before he added two late items in the 37th and 38th to fire Police to an 8-2 thumping of Shape.
Nicholas Grant added a pair of goals for the Lawmen in the 17th and 26th, while Mark Ayen (tenth), Roger Daniel (27th) and Wayne Legerton (32nd) added one each, with Shape getting their two items from Nick Pascal in the sixth, and veteran Leroy Sookdeo, six minutes later.
Earlier on the night, in the opening match, Notre Dame and Pro Sport battled to a 2-2 draw.
The Dames stormed into a 2-0 lead when Nicholas Whiteman and Kenny Kansinally both netted in the fifth minute; however, N'Kosi Marcelle cut the lead in half in the tenth, before Cristiano Rowe's last-minute equaliser.
