When you think you have just finished putting up all those lights, there may be one place that you are forgetting the backyard. If you want to make your outdoor space special, try decorating with a different style of lights depending on the atmosphere you want to create. Highlight garden structures using string lights or net lights affixed to trees and bushes. If you have a tent, buy some tent lights. They usually come multi-coloured, themed or in bright white strings and can be easy to find around this time of year. If you are looking for a more permanent fixture, use spots lights or solar lights to accent landscaping, or illuminate pathways or dark corners.

Place tea lights or votives on your tables to add an elegant touch.

You can place citronella candles at the safe corner of your yard. This can ward off insects that may be attracted to the lights. Not too many though, you won't want your food's taste to change. The important thing to remember is that there are lights for every idea you may have, so have a look around for the best lights that suit your purpose. On another note, holiday lights can be dazzling and while you may want your outdoors to look its best, be careful not to overload your circuits.
