Dig­i­cel Play cus­tomers in To­ba­go were the first to ex­pe­ri­ence two new chan­nels–Catch and Catch 2–on the com­pa­ny's Fi­bre TV ser­vice. CEO Garvin Med­era made the an­nounce­ment at a me­dia event at the com­pa­ny's of­fice on Shir­van Plaza.

"Dig­i­cel Play through its part­ner­ship with In­ter­na­tion­al Me­dia Con­tent Ltd (IMC) and Sports­Max, has launched two new ex­cit­ing en­ter­tain­ment chan­nels, Catch and Catch 2, jam-packed with even more great con­tent for cus­tomers to en­joy.

"These in­clude mul­ti-award-win­ning dra­ma se­ries Law and Or­der, Law and Or­der SVU and Law and Or­der CI, pop­u­lar sit­coms like Mod­ern Fam­i­ly and adult Fam­i­ly Guy, Tyler Per­ry's com­e­dy-dra­ma se­ries For Bet­ter or For Worse, as well as re­al­i­ty TV pro­grammes: Tamar and Vince, star­ring Tamar Brax­ton and the most suc­cess­ful TV news mag­a­zine in his­to­ry–60 Min­utes."

Med­era al­so made an­oth­er ground-break­ing an­nounce­ment with the de­vel­op­ment of Play Go an app that al­lows cus­tomers to ac­cess Dig­i­cel Play con­tent on the go.

"We un­der­stand that our cus­tomers want great con­tent, any­time and any­where, so come June Dig­i­cel Play en­sures you nev­er miss a mo­ment wher­ev­er you are. We have spo­ken about the mul­ti-screen that con­nects up to five de­vices in your home. Now we have cre­at­ed an app that al­lows you to view TV con­tent out­side of the home on a Wifi con­nec­tion."

The news was met with great ex­cite­ment from those gath­ered. With 90 per cent pop­u­la­tion cov­er­age of To­ba­go and over 50 per cent cov­er­age in Trinidad and grow­ing, Dig­i­cel Play con­tin­ues to de­liv­er on its promise since launch on Jan­u­ary 8 to pro­vide na­tion­wide cov­er­age of af­ford­able, best in-class, broad­band, fi­bre TV and land­line ser­vices.
