Through a billion dollar investment in its fibre network, Digicel is positioned to deliver savings to small, medium and large businesses. One such organisation taking advantage of the business solutions provided is the Ansa Automotive Ltd, a member of the ANSA McAL Group, via Digicel's project in partnership with Cisco.
Through this and other business solutions, Digicel continues to demonstrate its ability to play a significant role in improving the efficiency and effectiveness of the way companies do business.
Ian Galt, group chief information officer of ANSA McAL reinforced the company's commitment to Digicel because of the "strong partnership, in good times and perhaps more importantly in the bad."
Galt said they chose the Digicel/Cisco partnership project, "because of the pressing nature of time and the high standards required by their application vendor.
"No other vendor could demonstrate the familiarity with Cisco, and the familiarity with Ansa Automotive and ANSA McAL's Groups approach to technology upgrades."
Galt's comments were made at a reception hosted by Digicel Business at its Hospitality Suite at the Queen's Park Oval to commemorate the deal. Along with ANSA McAL executives, Digicel CEO, Sacha Thompson, general manager of Digicel Business, Garret Quinn and other key business executives were present.
This Ansa Automotive project is a solid demonstration of using some Digicel key technology expertise to design, plan, project manage, implement and support complex routing and switching technologies across the organisation.
Digicel's Cisco expertise has helped to formulate an efficient and scalable design, allowing Ansa Automotive to provide comfortable and speedy access via the new Layer 3 network to a new business system.
Ansa Automotive Ltd continues to be one of the premier sections of the overall ANSA McAL Group. They are also one of the top automotive distributors in the country carrying global brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, BMW Ford, Mini, Honda, Mitsubishi and more.
