Hyatt Regency Trinidad is welcoming local fete lovers and Carnival revellers from around the world to celebrate its fourth annual LIME Fete, one of the most highly anticipated events of T&T Carnival.
The Ultimate Lime fete will take place along the waterfront at Hyatt Regency Trinidad in Port-of-Spain tomorrow, from 4 pm to midnight.
A release from the Hyatt said the hotel spares no effort in treating guests to the ultimate lime experience, with exquisite cuisine prepared by local and international master chefs, beautiful waterfront scenery, exciting surprises and pulsating musical performances, all benefiting an important cause.
A portion of the proceeds from ticket sales in 2014 will once again be donated to a charity supported through United Way T&T. Supporting the local community is a natural extension of Hyatt's corporate mission: to provide authentic hospitality by making a difference in the lives of people every day.
In previous years, LIME has supported a number of charities, including Rainbow Rescue Home for Boys, Heroes Foundation and Christ Child Convalescent Home.
The Hyatt promises that each guest can expect to be treated like a VIP at Lime. Guests can choose Platinum or Diamond level tickets and enjoy an unrivaled selection of culinary temptations in both lounges.
New this year, Platinum level guests will be treated to authentic Mexican cuisine created by a Mexican chef while Diamond level guests feast on Peruvian favorites prepared by a native Peruvian chef.
In addition, Platinum lounge guests will be able to choose from an array of international delicacies, including slow-roasted meats grilled on seasoned coals and smoked woods, Atlantic, Pacific and Caribbean seafood, and local authentic island fare, along with vegetarian delights and specials. Diamond lounge partygoers can enjoy a sampling of lavish favorites, including Alaskan king crab legs and Marquis Osetra caviar.
Guests will be welcomed with Lime's signature cocktails Lime Time and Forbidden Lime as well as the finest wines, liquors and champagnes. Diamond lounge guests will also have access to the Diamond Platform with unobstructed views of the stage.
Entertainment will be provided by Bunji Garlin and Fay-Ann Lyons and the Asylum Vikings, Roy Cape All Stars featuring Blaxx, Ravi B and Karma, Kes the Band, David Rudder, Kerwin Dubois, Farmer Nappy, Denyse Belfon, and Laventille Rhythm Section. The MCs for the afternoon are the JW and Blaze. The LIME Lounge, a favourite with guests will also feature the "Classics" with performances by Denyse Plummer, Steve Sealey and more.
Guests from San Fernando also have the option of taking a complimentary water taxi service to the event at 5 pm and returning at 12.30am (Thursday morning).
As always, the event's classy "white with a touch of lime" dress code will be enforced.
There is no more access to the Diamond lounge as all Diamond tickets are sold out. Limited Platinum tickets are available at US$275 per ticket and all tickets can be picked up at the Conference Centre, Hyatt Regency Trinidad from 9 am-7 pm.
