The T&T Computer Society (TTCS) invites anyone who wants to learn more about bitcoin and 'virtual-currencies' to a tech meeting on Saturday at UWI open campus, Gordon Street, St Augustine from 3 pm to 5 pm.Topics to be discussed include Decentralised currencies in T&T: Rationale and Outlook, to be presented by Richard Jobity, and Digital Currencies: Challenge or Solution, presented by Shiva Bissessar.
Jobity is an economist with more than 20 years experience, including 11 years at a major financial institution. His current interests include technology and competitive intelligence in developing countries.Bisessar, an ICT practitioner, currently runs a small consultancy firm specialising in provision of technical advisory on clients' efforts in developing ICT and Information Security policies, regulations and governance strategies.
