In a move to boost at­ten­dance at their match­es the Red Steel own­ers have start­ed a pro­mo­tion called 'bring a friend' to the crick­et. So with the pur­chase of one tick­et for the price of TT$60 you can tag a friend along to view the Red Steel match­es at the Queen's Park Oval.

Co-own­er of the Red Steel Jon Ta­lari­co re­vealed yes­ter­day that con­trary to me­dia re­ports, the tick­ets for the match­es were not sold out and there were still tick­ets avail­able for some of the stands. The 'bring a friend' pro­mo­tion al­lows you en­try in­to the bleach­ers that will be mount­ed where the Dos San­tos Stand.

Ac­cord­ing to Ta­lari­co : "We de­cid­ed to erect the bleach­ers to get more peo­ple to view the games and we are even go­ing fur­ther by start­ing this pro­mo­tion where when you buy a tick­et, you can bring a friend for free."

The bleach­ers that are in place al­ready will hold 1,000 fans and this will be in an area where there will be ac­ces­si­bil­i­ty to wash­rooms and re­fresh­ments. The T&T Red Steel will be look­ing to bounce back af­ter two loss­es so far in the tour­na­ment. They were edged out by the Guyana Ama­zon War­riors in their first match at Prov­i­dence and then bowled out for just 52 against the Bar­ba­dos Tri­dents, who made heavy weath­er of the win­ning tar­get, in los­ing six wick­ets be­fore pick­ing up the points.

They have the next three match­es at home, in­clud­ing one against the Ja­maican Tallawahs that was played last night. They then play against Guyana Ama­zon War­riors to­mor­row, be­fore clos­ing off their home cam­paign against the An­tigua Bill­hawks on Sun­day.

The Red Steel then hits the road again next week when they vis­it Ja­maica to play the Tallawahs and al­so en­ter­tain St Lu­cia Zouks in their neu­tral venue clash.
