The Government of Grenada is exploring the possibility of getting T&T's assistance to set up a state enterprise to advance use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for a more effective government.Alvin Da Breo, Grenada's Minister of State in the Ministry of Communications and Works, Physical Development, Public Utilities and ICT, views this as an important step in improving efficiency and delivering government services to all Grenadian nationals.
Dr Rupert Griffith, Minister of Science and Technology, along with Adam Montserin, iGovTT CEO, and Raye Sandy, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Science and Technology, recently received the visiting Minister for ICT talks.iGovTT is a special purpose company charged with the the design, development and deployment of advanced ICT solutions for the Government.
Its ttconnect multi-channel service network offers citizens convenient access to government information and services within their communities, online in their homes, and on the go via their mobile phones, thereby reducing the need for lengthy commutes to Government offices.iGovTT collaborates with local and international ICT companies to deploy relevant services for ministries and agencies.
Its ICT infrastructure will soon be upgraded and expanded and the company continues to work with Government agencies to bring additional public services and information online.
