DJ Sounds of Kabu­ki (Kevin Grayson) held his Black Af­fair last Sat­ur­day at the La Hoya Com­plex in St Joseph. For 16 years, the vet­er­an DJ has themed his par­ties af­ter the colours of the na­tion­al flag.

This is the first of its kind for the year, with the White and Red edi­tions to fol­low. "Black," ex­plained the pop­u­lar disc jock­ey, "al­so means beau­ti­ful, love­ly, adorable, charm­ing and kiss­able."

This acronym ad­e­quate­ly de­scribes the cal­iber of beau­ti­ful ma­ture women that have been loy­al to the par­ty over the years. Last year, af­ter re­turn­ing from a trip to Eu­rope, I went di­rect­ly to the par­ty. I wasn't go­ing to miss it for the world this year. The event was held at the St Joseph venue in 2010 for the first time be­cause of the over­whelm­ing re­sponse in 2009.

It was pre­vi­ous­ly held at Bre­gon Park in Ari­ma. Mod­els dressed in an­cient ro­man out­fits, ac­ces­sorised with swords, and bows and ar­rows lined the back of the par­ty. A wel­comed ad­di­tion to the par­ty, mu­sic was pro­vid­ed by Kevin Bak­er, Dan­ger­ous Robyn, CG, Sen­sa­tion­al Sam­my and Kabu­ki him­self.
