Central Trinidad’s largest wedding convention drew hundreds of attendees last Saturday.

The Ultimate Wedding and Event Convention 2025, a free-to-attend event, was held at the Dennis P Ramdhan Complex in Couva. Couples began arriving as early as 8 am to explore the latest offerings in the wedding industry.

Event organiser Denise Ramdhan said the wedding industry has evolved significantly in the past three years, with more couples opting for venues that offer ample parking and comprehensive services.

Traditionally, in south and central Trinidad, wedding receptions were often held at the home of the bridal party. However, there is now a growing preference for all-inclusive venues that eliminate concerns about parking and noise pollution.

“People want a different ambience,” Ramdhan explained. “They also want creativity in their venue choices and, most importantly, less stress.”
