Trinidad and Tobago’s representative to the Mrs Woman of the Universe beauty pageant has been flying this country’s flag high.
Dianne Mollino has already captured two of the prestigious titles in the lead-up to the finale of the competition—Best Artistic National Costume and Best Body. The 47th Mrs Woman of the Universe pageant is being held in Turkey.
Mollino, 42, a flight attendant with Caribbean Airlines, will know if she will advance further in the pageant today.
National director of the local franchise for the competition, Alveada Meah-Boodoo, announced Mollino’s strides and referred to her as “T&T’s Black Barbie,” saying she stands a good chance to capture the prestigious title.
Wearing a costume designed by Rambanshuss Carnival, dubbed Kiskadee Serenade, Mollino’s portrayal stood out among the 38 delegates from other countries around the world.
The Valsayn mother of two will take to the stage in the formal wear category of the pageant this morning in a gown from Stitches designed by Rena in San Fernando.
