It was a double celebration for the Hosein family of San Juan, recently when 23-year-old Sadia Kareemah Hosein and her father, Aslim Hosein, a police inspector of the TTPS Homicide Bureau of Investigations, both graduated with Honours in their respective line of studies.
The young Hosein graduated from the St Augustine Campus of the University of the West Indies (UWI) with a BSc in Biomedical Technology (Special) Upper Second Class Honours. A former student of ASJA Girls' College, Sadia is also the recipient of passes in Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics from the Faculty of Sciences and Technology NI Programme (UWI).

She also graduated with a full CSEC certificate inclusive of passes in Mathematics, English Literature, Additional Mathematics, Geography, Chemistry, Biology and Physics.
The young woman has dedicated her success to her mother, Korisha.
She also celebrated with her father, a member of the police service for more than 32 years, who received his BSc in Law and subsequently attained his Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Staffordshire. They both got their degrees at the same time. Hosein tutors and operates a small business–Add A Little Spice on Facebook.
